The novel infrastructure of Smart Droplets will be tested with existing Farm Management Information Software (FMIS) use by farmers.

AI models

Smart Droplets will create models for actionable decisions at the field level and bring such models closer to commercialization.

Digital twins

Smart Droplets will adopt a hybrid approach for spraying recommendations, combining predictions on regional, farm and plant level.

Robotic systems

Smart Droplets will deploy an autonomous retrofit tractor that will carry the spraying machine and sensors to execute the spraying tasks successfully.

Direct Injection Spraying (DIS)

Smart Droplets will implement real-time perception systems and upgraded components on the sprayers, ensuring spraying accuracy for the deployed hardware.

Smart Droplets robotic (physical) assets - a retrofit tractor and sprayer - are integrated seamlessly with the intelligent components - Digital Platform and Digital Twins - for collecting field data and allowing for real time spraying task execution.

Smart Droplets will conduct two pilots, in two diversified and complementary environments to evaluate and test its components as thoroughly as possible
